By merging our refined fuels and propane control rooms into one streamlined application, doing business with CHS is easier than ever. With CHS Connect, you can manage your account and conduct business with CHS anytime, anywhere.

  • New account numbers

    • Your parent (bill-to) account and related ship-to location numbers have been updated in our SAP system. 
    • Numbers changed from their current 6-digit number to a 9-digit SAP number.  
    • Only accounts that have had propane or refined fuels activity in the past two years have been automatically migrated to CHS Connect. Inactive accounts may still request CHS Connect access through the CHS portal. Lift numbers stay the same. The lift number your driver uses at the terminal will not change.   
    • Reach out to your primary CHS contact to obtain your new customer number(s).  
    • If you did not need your new BP number prior to launch, you will find it in CHS Connect when you log in.
  • Updated terminal names and product codes

    • These new values appear across invoices, contracts, EFT transactions and more and should not affect most normal operations.

Extended contract views and management options

Plan ahead with contract duration views extended from 12 to 18 months, giving you more flexibility and stability and utilize additional contracting options, like manifest management, now open across both product lines.

  • What features have been eliminated or changed?

    The following features have been retired or updated with CHS Connect:

    • Fax as a delivery method – This is no longer be available.
    • Zero-dollar EFT draft notices and EFT roll forward credit process – With the new Energy EFT process, open credit memos that exceed the invoice or debit amount no longer creates a “roll forward credit.” EFT drafts will only occur when the invoice amount due exceeds any open credits. Zero-dollar EFT draft notices have been eliminated.
    • Month-end AR Statements in eDocs – Statements no longer appear in eDocs as of launch. Customers can request them via email or paper mail.
    • Propane contract setting changes – Customers will no longer be able to switch contracts from bridgeable to unbridgeable. (Bridgeable contracts allow pulls from any terminal; non-bridgeable contracts restrict pulls to specific terminals.)
     
  • What key action items do I need to complete?

    To prepare for CHS Connect, please:

    • Subscribe to pricing notifications.
    • Review and be aware of new customer number(s), terminal names and product codes/numbers.

  • How do I access the new customer portal?

    You can access CHS Connect in two ways:

    1. Access CHS Connect directly at .
    2. Existing refined fuels and propane control rooms will automatically redirect to CHS Connect. 
       
  • Will my lubricants business be added to CHS Connect?

    Not at this time. Only refined fuels and propane accounts will be available in CHS Connect. Other lines of business, including lubricants, will remain on their current platforms.

  • Where can I view historical documents?

    Invoices: Historical invoices can be viewed in eDocs.Ìý

  • How will we view EFT draft notices?

    You will now see multiple sets of EFT draft notices and bank account transactions (one for refined fuels/propane and one for other products you purchase from CHS). 

    Preliminary EFT draft notices: 

    • Starting November 25, 2025, preliminary EFT draft notices will be separated as follows:  
      • Refined fuel, AFD, propane and asphalt invoices will appear on one emailed EFT draft notice. 
      • Lubricants, energy equipment and energy transportation invoices will appear on a separate EFT draft notice, delivered either by email or accessed through our eDocs portal, depending on your current document delivery setup. 

    Final EFT draft notices: 

    • Starting December 2, 2025, actual energy EFT drafts will follow the same separation outlined above, and separate final EFT draft notices will be distributed accordingly. 
  • How do I access the new customer portal?

    Get access to the CHS Portal and CHS Connect by completing the registration process. Instructions for registering can be found at the link below. 

  • Do you need to update your tax license information?

    A request for updated tax license information and exemption certificates was sent in October. If we do not receive your updated license and exemption certificates your account will remain non-licensed/non-exempt, and applicable taxes will be applied to invoices starting December 8, 2025
